Terms of Service

SpecMatch AI is an AI-assisted writing tool that helps UK public sector job seekers tailor their CVs, supporting statements, personal statements, and behaviour examples to specific vacancies. The Service uses large language model technology to generate application documents based on the information you provide.

Important: AI-generated content is provided as a drafting aid only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and submitting any documents. We make no guarantee that generated content will secure employment or pass any employer's selection process.

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United Kingdom to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@jobspecmatch.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

• Paid plans are billed monthly on a rolling basis via Stripe.
• All prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing on 30 days' notice. Your price remains unchanged until your next renewal after the notice period.
• Free plan usage is limited to 3 lifetime applications.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to generate application documents
• Use the Service to generate content for purposes other than genuine job applications
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI prompts or models
• Share account credentials or resell access to the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service other than via our published API

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions.

You retain ownership of all content you upload or input into the Service (your CV, work history, job descriptions, etc.). By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not use your personal profile data or job application content to train AI models.

Documents generated by SpecMatch AI are owned by you once created. We claim no intellectual property rights over the generated output. You are responsible for ensuring any submitted application is accurate and truthful.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by English law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of employment opportunity.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
